Seatbelts must be compatible for every person, no matter how big or how small. That's why Intrepid has front height adjustable shoulder belts to accommodate most everyone. For the smallest, i.e. the children, Intrepid has remarkable user-ready child rear seat top tether anchors at each backseat position. This device minimizes compatible aftermarket child seat movement to help keep your child safe. And Intrepid's new optional supplemental front seat side air bags* provide additional side impact protection to the front outboard occupants.

Hopefully, the seat belts and air bags won't ever come into play due to Intrepid's antilock braking system (standard on R/T, available on ES and SE). It lets you maintain vehicle steering control in slippery braking situations by independently regulating brake fluid pressures. Low-Speed Traction Control (newly standard on R/T, available on ES) complements ABS with computerized pinpoint brake response to help stop slipping, free-spinning wheels regain traction at speeds up to 35 mph.

*Always use seat belts. Remember a backseat is the safest place for children 12 and under.

Intrepid's interior defies expectations.
