When the Intrepid R/T hits the tracks at Daytona it will take with it the bold new technologies learned from the collaboration of the racing team engineers and Dodge engineers. And because it's only fair to share, the Intrepid built on the line will eventually be done so with some of the knowledge learned on the tracks. But just noticing the NASCAR® Intrepid R/T would leave out the heart-pounding power under the hood, and the spacious interior and even the smart safety features of the production vehicle. You wouldn't notice any of that and you probably would forget that this vehicle has been chosen Car and Driver's "10 Best" winner for 1999 and 2000.
